Policy pursuant to Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679

Fedolive, the Federation of the Olive Oil Industry of the European Union, wishes to inform you, pursuant to Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and Council concerning the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data (hereafter “European Regulation”), that it needs to process your personal data collected automatically or provided by you through navigation or use of the website https://www.fedolive.com (hereinafter “Website”).

1. Data controller

The Data Controller is Fedolive, in the person of its legal representative, domiciled at the registered office in Piazza di Campitelli, 3 - 00186 Roma (hereinafter referred to as “Fedolive” or “Data Controller”).

2. Data protection officer (DPO)

Considering the data processing activities performed by Fedolive, the Data Controller has deemed it necessary to appoint, pursuant to art. 37 of the European Regulation, a Data Manager who you may contact at the following address: Fedolive Data Protection Officer, Piazza di Campitelli, 3 - 00186 Rome or by sending an email to the address info@fedolive.com.

3. Which personal data do we use about you?

We collect and use your personal data to the extent necessary in the framework of our activities. We may collect various types of the personal data about you, including:

  • identification information, e.g. name, ID card and passport numbers, fiscal code, nationality, place and date of birth, gender, photograph, IP address);
  • contact information (e.g. postal address and e-mail address, phone number);
  • business name;
  • data from your interactions with us: our internet websites, our social media pages, meeting, call, chat, email, interviews, phone conversation;

We never ask for personal data related to your racial or ethnic origins, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, genetic data or data concerning your sex orientation, unless it is required through a legal obligation.

4. Methods of processing personal and web data

The processing of personal data and the treatment related to web services offered by the Fedolive website will be carried out by personnel directly involved in Fedolive and by the natural or legal persons specifically identified as the data controller, by the persons in charge of processing and of occasional maintenance operations on the website, by the person responsible for the protection of personal data.

Personal data will be processed with the tools and methods deemed appropriate to protect their security and confidentiality. Their processing will be carried out with manual and/or automated tools for the purposes referred to in this statement. Personal data will not be disseminated.

The data may be disclosed to professional companies or professional offices that provide assistance, advice or collaboration to the data controller, in accounting, administrative, fiscal, legal, tax and financial matters, to public administrations for the performance of institutional functions, within the limits established by law or regulations, and to third-party service providers (for example logistic companies, transport, etc.), to whom communication is necessary for the performance of the services covered by the contract concluded between the parties.

This information also applies to all data acquired through web services (the Association's website, social media reporting to Fedolive, such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram etc.). This information is not valid for other websites that can be consulted through the website www.fedolive.com.

5. Mandatory or optional nature of the provision of personal data

The provision of personal data is by consensus. It follows that the communication of data is optional but the possible refusal by the interested party or even the subsequent request for cancellation, could make the execution of the activities referred to in this information impossible or extremely difficult.

6. Purpose of the processing

The personal data provided by the interested party will be processed in compliance with the current legislation and the principles of lawfulness, correctness, transparency and protection of confidentiality provided by it for the following purposes:

  • pursuit of the goals indicated in the Statute;
  • detection of Fedolive representativeness data;
  • collection of membership fees;
  • studies and surveys for historical and statistical purposes;
  • transmission of communications through circulars, newsletters and any other means suitable for disseminating national, European and international legislative updates as well as trade union information, also relating to the activation of new services and activities of interest to the companies represented;
  • access to the website and all services, including customer support;
  • exercise of activities aimed at personalizing and improving every service offered;
  • use of telephone or email contacts with the user, aimed at resolving disputes or any problems of any kind that may arise in the use of the site;
  • of telephone contacts, also via SMS or email, with the user to provide information on services, marketing activities and promotional offers;
  • verify the correctness of the information, possibly comparing it with third parties;
  • inform or provide the user with other services, in accordance with his requests;
  • based on the explicit consent provided by the user, the data may also be used to offer targeted marketing, promotional offers and targeted advertising.

The processed data are updated, relevant, complete and not excessive in relation to the purposes listed above for which they are collected and subsequently processed.

7. Navigation data

The computer systems and software procedures, used to operate the Fedolive website, acquire, during their normal operations, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. These information is not collected to be associated with specific and identified data subjects, but by their very nature could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified.

This category of data also includes IP addresses or domain names of computers used by users connecting to sites, URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of requested resources, time of request, method used in submitting the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numeric code indicating the status of the response given by the server and other parameters relating to the operating system and the user's IT environment.

These data are used for the sole purpose of receiving anonymous statistical information on the use of the site and to check its correct functioning and are deleted immediately after processing. These data could be used to assess responsibility in the event of computer crimes against our site: apart from this eventuality, data on web contacts are not kept for more than seven days.

The Fedolive website uses a high security system. However, it should be represented that no data transmission on the internet can be defined as totally secure. Furthermore, for your greater security, we always advise you to log out and exit the browser at the end of the session.

8.Transfer of personal data

The personal data collected by Fedolive will be processed in national and/or European territory and will not be transferred to a Third Country outside the EU territory or to international organizations.

9. Personal data storage period

The Data Controller plans on storing personal data for a period of time that does not exceed the time required to pursue the purposes for which the data were collected and processed. Your data will be kept for the duration of our relationship and kept for a maximum of 10 years after the end of this relationship. In addition to this period, storage will be limited to personal data only for the historical-statistical function.

10. Data transfer to third parties

Personal data will not be transferred to third parties for sending their commercial communications.

11. Rights of the party concerned

Regarding the processing of your personal data, pursuant to the European Regulation, the party concerned is entitled to:

  • withdraw consent to data processing, at any time, for all further data processing procedures that are not necessary to execute the purposes of the process; however, it must be said that withdrawal of consent does not constitute a prejudice to the lawfulness of data processed based on consent provided prior to withdrawal of the consent itself, as established by art. 7, section 3, of the European Regulation;
  • ask the Data Controller access to personal data, as established by art. 15 of the European Regulation;
  • obtain, from the Data Controller, the correction and integration of personal data that is deemed inaccurate, even providing a simple integrative statement, as established by art. 16 of the European Regulation;
  • obtain, from the Data Controller, the deletion of personal data if even just one of the reasons established by art. 17 of the European Regulation is present, for all further data processing that might not be necessary to execute the purposes of the process;
  • obtain from the Data Controller the limitation of personal data processing, even if one of the cases theorized in art. 18 of the European Regulation is present, for all further data processing that might not be necessary to execute the goals of the process;
  • receive, from the Data Controller, the personal data that concern you, in a structured format widely used and legible by an automatic device; you are entitled to transmit these data to another Data Controller, as established by art. 20 of the European Regulation;
  • submit a complaint to the control Authorities if you deem that the processing of your data violates the European Regulation; the complaint can be submitted in the Member State where you habitually reside or work or in the place where a presumed violation occurred, as established by art. 77 of the European Regulation.

The exercise of these rights is not subject to any formal restrictions. It is free and can be exercised contacting the Data Controller, in the person of the legal representative, by contacting the registered office at Piazza di Campitelli,3 – 00186 Roma. Alternatively, you can contact the Data Protection Officer by sending a communication to Fedolive Data Protection Officer, Piazza di Campitelli, 3 – 00186 Rome or by sending an email to info@fedolive.com.

12. Automatic decision

The data collected by Fedolive will not be subject to any decision based solely on automated processing that produces legal effects for the data subject or which has a significant impact on his person.
